Ceramics

When Nea first handled clay as a child, she knew that it was a medium with limitless possibilities for expression. Though it took her a couple of decades to eventually return to it, she quickly fell back in love with it. She first learned to manipulate clay on a pottery wheel, but found the organic and slow nature of hand building was bettered suited to her style. Much of her work is material-driven and that is best exhibited in her ceramic work with minimal color palettes designed to highlight and contrast the natural hue and texture of the clay.
