Painting
Painting was one of the earliest forms of expression that Nea explored. Throughout her primary education, she played with acrylic paints and was drawn to the quick-drying properties, precise handling, and vibrant colors of the medium. While in art school, she fell in love with the Impressionists with their dreamy landscapes and dappled light. Her work became influenced by the work of Renoir, Monet, and Matisse. The combination of their bold color choices and strong mark-making heavily informs her approach to painting.
